Book, tea, blanket.

Dear diary,

I just think that sometimes, there's nothing better than this: a chicklit, apple and cinnamon tea and a fluffy blanket to snuggle under.
... except the excitement of making banana and peanut butter pancakes for breakfast tomorrow! Yeah buddy!

Today I...

  • Ate the best strawberry that I have ever eaten. So big and juicy. It made it a little better knowing that the littlest brother had grown it himself. Very proud of his strawberries, he is.
  • Walked for an hour in the sun.
  • Bought the new in-the-shower moisturiser from Nivea. I tried it, and I love it. It's life changing guys!
  • Watched my littlest brother pick the above flowers on our walk in the sun for our Mum, and then arrange pipe-cleaners around the vase because he thought it "looked nice for mummy". He is the absolute cutest!
  • Ate pizza and garlic bread for dinner.
  • Had a goodnight call with the best boyfriend one could ever have.
  • Did 2 hours of de-weeding the garden in the sun. I know, I never thought I'd see the day when I participated in gardening, either!
  • Read a little more of my book accompanied by lemon water.
  • Went out to have a cooked breakfast this morning with the two younger brothers, but not the littlest one, this morn.

All in all a pretty good day, even if I do say so myself!

Buzzfeed addict

I love Buzzfeed. You will always find me on it. I've gotten into the habit now of checking it everyday, and taking all the quizzes. I'm sad, but I love it.

I have saved, over the past few months, the few articles that I really want to keep somewhere so I can re-look at them when needs be, because you know how annoying it can be when you can't find an article you love on the internet. It's such a big place.

So here are the five articles...
  1. Everything you need to know about life and love you can learn from pizza. I love pizza, and the fact that you can learn anything about life and love from it is brilliant. It's not a cheesy article either (except the cheese on the pizza, hardey har har).
  2. 16 times toilet graffiti knew you better than you knew yourself. Light-hearted funny stuff that was written on toilet walls.
  3. 23 signs you're an old soul. This one is me all over. Just me in an article. All about me.
  4. 22 silly DIY projects that will make you laugh out loud. I wanna do the majority of these. I love quirky decor ideas. Except the baby hand coat hook thing. What on earth is that about?!
  5. 19 words that have a totally different meaning when you're an introvert. I read this one with the boyf, and he was laughing at every one at how much it was like me. Thanks Jon.
  6. This amazing kimono. This is the sixth link. It also isn't a Buzzfeed article. I don't play by your rules. Anyway, I really love this kimono I found on Pinterest. I have no idea where to get it though. I just keep staring at the picture hoping the fabric will telepathically tell me. It's not happened yet, but I'll keep you posted ;)

P.s, I just realised that the picture has nothing to do with the post. I can explain, honest!
I was looking on pinterest, and I found this picture. Anybody who is anybody knows how much I love tea, and so I fell in love. With a picture. I'm honestly going to have it framed and put it on my wall, maybe.

Going for the chop!

Dear diary,

It's all happening over here. Today I made the decision to cut all my hair off. My hair has always been long. It's super wavy and thick, so it's kind of always been my 'thing', if you will, to have massive and long hair. Not anymore. Not today. I cut it all of. It was somewhat impulsive, but also I had been thinking about it for a while.

I know myself and I know how I am, and I know that in about a week I will regret this decision. So to combat that, I've also written 10 reasons why it's better to have shorter hair. Take that future Lav!!

Here we go...
  1. If I wanna go blonder, it's gunna have to be shorter to be in better condition!
  2. It'll be curlier as it's shorter.
  3. It'll be easier to do up do's on.
  4. It'll stop getting so friggin tangley!
  5. It'll be cooler as it's coming up to summer!
  6. I won't get headaches when I put my hair up as it's so heavy.
  7. It'll have more shape to it
  8. Won't be as hard to brush.
  9. I won't feel as bad when I dye it again!
  10. It wont get caught everwhere on everythinggggggg
Ok didit. It's off, and it feels good y'all.

Below was how it was before, and below below is how it is now. I know it doesn't look like much different, but to me it's enough to make a big deal out of. Did you know I'm a performing arts student? ;)

Eeeeeeek!! It's so shortttt!

a walk round the grounds

Dear diary,

Sometimes living in close proximity with a lot of other college students, we find that that we get on each other's nerves a little ('little' being a little bit of an understated word here). And when that happens, I like getting out and taking a walk around the grounds, which just so happens to double up as a woods. I love it because I find it very therapeutic to explore, find new things and look at creation.

It helps me think better, and although I'm no happier in the middle of a busy street full of people and shops, being on my own in the middle of the woods also has kind of the same effect.

I took some snaps. These were taken on my phone, so they're not as good as they could be. And I spent most of the time taking it in, so there's only three snaps. And one is a selfie. I'm so good at this blogging malarkey. Enjoy ;)

Imagine how beautiful this was in reality though?! Incredible.

Did I take a selfie, on my own, with a creepy man shaped thing?! YEAH I DID!
